DCMS commissioned Simetrica-Jacobs to understand the value of cultural engagement at four museums in England as part of their work to research the value of culture. Simetrica-Jacobs conducted a large contingent valuation study of more than 2,000 visitors and non-visitors to derive an estimate of people’s willingness to pay. Furthermore, the project demonstrated that these values could be transferred to similar sites in England with suitable adjustments.
